More requests and "By-The-Way" Achievements

A quick update! Ive gotten some achievements along the way (without really working for them) and figured that I should list them before I forget to!

#55: Frogaholic - Collect 1,000 lifetime frogs.
#56: Frog Farmer - Collect 64 frogs at once.
#58: Frog Fortune - Collect 100,000 coins.
#71: Froggydexter 2 - Collect 500 frogs in the Froggydex.

I've done some more requests too so check them out!

I'm working really hard (ie I need coins!) to put together a nice halloween collection (one without Lanternas, since I don't have any. Hmmm, maybe I should buy some?), so stay tuned!

So I Heard You Like Bananas...

Just a quick update for everyfroggy!

I've completed another award, #22: Yellow Fever - Collect a mature Yellow Aurum Zebrae, Yellow Aurum Crustalli, and Yellow Arurum Anura in one habitat.

3, 2, 1... Pose! Such lovely hues of yellow in my Patina Habitat!

Whether they are springing into action or huddling together, these froggies are sooo cute!

This was simple because I already had a Yellow Aurum Velatus, so it was just a matter of mating the appropriate species together. I would have placed their ancestor into the habitat, but I forgot. :/

These candy coloured cuties look simply banana-licious! Anyone wants to take a lick? *Looks at frogs* Ok, I agree, they probably look better then they taste!
I've moved back to doing requests, but it's been pretty uneventful because of some weird glitches that make my request in the list disappear before I could finish them. =( Looks like something buggy this way comes! But still I managed to get a few done, so here you go!

If anyone wants to know, the only request that I still remember was for my Pink Pruni Puncti. Anyone else had this problem too? Where you've just completed a request and there isn't a request for you to send it to? So frustrating!

As you can see I did get some stamps, so I'm very pleased! I also managed to purchase a new habitat (It was really expensive, being the 10th one I have!) and I can't wait to show you guys when I complete my next award. Until then...

Stamp Search - no Success for this Simply Sad Frog!

You guys know how annoying a full mailbox is right? Especially when you're getting all these awesome gifts from the pond or the daily gift section. I ended up paying tons of stamps, and I'm broke in that section now! So in bid to build up my stamp collection, I've turned to frog breeding to help out my budding career as a philatelist!

Keep in mind that I've done more than just these - I did start the blog when I was level 7 - so this isn't a comprehensive list of frogs I've bred for the request section. I find the "frog ads" listed rather amusing, so check them out if you'd like!

It's not often you get requests for the same colour scheme sequentially!

Caelus and Callaina.... I don't think I will ever forget that mistake I made for Award #16.

Love the colours on these! Another Tingo, how curious...

Another set of potions? What about my stamps?!?

As you can see, the plan hasn't quite worked out. No stamps as of yet, but I'll keep going, before switching back to the awards. So anyway, have you had any funny requests pop up, or received a really nice substantial reward for a frog? Tell me here at froggiefrens! I'd love to hear from you!

I'm Feeling Blue too!

Hi Everyfroggy!

Sorry for the long space between posts! There's an awfully good reason for it, I promise! Ok, maybe not that good a reason... Read on, you'll see!

So here I am, trying to bred the next award I'm after: #16: Feeling Blue - Collect a mature Blue Caelus Adamantis, Blue Caelus Viduo, and Blue Caelus Stellata in one habitat.

so I hop right to it in my typical fashion - breed a low rarity frog (an Anura again), then use that to get the next lowest rarity frog, then use that to get the next lowest rarity frog, and so on. I was so pleased to finish it, but I didn't get any notification. I checked my frogs, and the award list, then proceeded to facepalm myself.

I'd bred Blue Callaina frogs, not Caelus frogs.

Callaina. As in aqua blue markings, instead of soft blue markings.

There's a huge difference people. Just look at this comparison. And my stupidity.

So I went to breed my Blue Callaina frogs with frogs with Caelus markings to fix my horrid mistake. I did complete my award in the end, but it took twice as long.

Froggie Fact: Caelus frogs are selfish little things. Look at them each guarding their own hoards! I suppose being in an Amethyst Habitat filled with wonderful treasures will do that to any frog though :/

It was an honestly embarrassing mistake, and I am definitely going to keep my eyes peeled and check the award list regularly when I am breeding my frogs - there's no way I'm making this mistake again!

Is there any silly mistakes you made as a frog breeder? Just share - mistakes are for laughing at together (and learning from too, of course!)

Congratulations! You are our 250TH FROG!

Break out the decorations, I got this awesome award: #70: Froggydexter 1 - Collect 250 frogs in the Froggydex.

The lucky frog in question is a Pink Chroma Spinae! Give a warm round of applause people, the little frog deserves it!

It's too bad that the image doesn't show the rainbow colours of the chroma. I got this by choosing "share" when I looked at the frog's profile. This frog is a product of my Purple Caelus Spinae and my Pink Chroma Stellata. I managed to reach level 9 with the nice 4000xp boost, so I'm very pleased with this frog now!

To celebrate, I got a new frog from the shop to day! It's sitting in my mailbox, and I can't wait for it to be delivered!

It's a lovely little Aqua Chroma Dextera (25 potions)! It's the very first frog I've ever bought! All my other new frog breeds either came from breeding in the pond or gifts from the daily gift section or the pond. I never needed to buy a frog, all I needed was to be patient. This time I decided to dip into my potion funds and get this though - what other way to celebrate my 250th frog (which is a chroma frog) by getting another rainbow frog! I took some screenshots and combined them to try and show you guys the various colours it changes into. As you can see, it will take a while to arrive, so in the mean time, I'm super psyched waiting for it to come in! =)

Have you gotten any special frogs today? Ribbit!

Leafing the Good Life

Anuras are terribly lazy. That's what I concluded when I finished my newest award - #29: Tree Hug - Collect a mature Cocos Folium Anura, Cocos Folium Nasus and Cocos Folium Clunicula in one habitat.

Evidence? You want evidence of that slob of an Anura you say? See Exhibit 1-5 to see what I mean:

It's sunbathing. Or dehydrating and shrivelling up on the spot. Whatever it is, It. Won't. Move!

The Anura hardly moves at all! My Nasus was all over the place, my Clunicula hopped around a bit, but what did my Anura do? It blinked. That was it. In the space of the time taken for my Nasus to explore the entire habitat, the Anura blinked. Once. That thing is lucky that I feed it for the coins - how would it live the good life if I didn't? Sigh. The only upside I can think of having a lazy, boring frog was that it made for an easier time taking screenshots. (Unlike my hyper active Nasus.)

Just to sum up what I did to get the frogs though -
Cocos Albeo Anura + Olive Folium Punti = Cocos Folium Anura AND Cocos Folium Puncti
Cocos Polium Puncti + Purple Folium Clunicula (from #10: Grapevine) = Cocos Folium Clunicula
Cocos Folium Puncti/Clunicula + Red Viola Nasus = Cocos Folium Nasus

Thanks for hopping by today, hope you had a good day hopping! Ribbit!

Once You Chose Purple...

You Never Go Back!

Purple is awesome. There is no denying that. That's why I hopped into the following goal - #31: Purple Pride - Collect a mature Purple Viola Puncti, Purple Viola Clunicula and Purple Viola Bovis in one habitat.

I set about the challenge by taking my Purple Viola Anura (which I already conveniently had, teehee~) and mated it with frogs of the corresponding species I needed to get. It resulted in a fair amount of losses due to the huge amount of Anuras I got, so once I had my Purple Viola Puncti, I bred that to get my Purple Viola Clunicula and my Purple Viola Bovis. (That meant that I wouldn't make any losses if I got a Puncti instead of a Clunicula, and that I minimised losses if I got a Puncti instead of a Bovis, as opposed to getting an Anura each time). Sure enough, I got a pop-up congratulating me once I got the screen as shown on the left.

My Zen Habitat, how peaceful! Oommm.....

After I was done, I popped in my Anura for the picture as well - after all, the frogs in the habbie where its descendants, and they were all the same colours, so why not? So I took a shot and got the screenie on the right. Neat, huh?

After this achievement, I moved onto #10: Grapevine - Collect 8 mature Purple Folium Clunicula in one habitat. Why? It was a very convenient move for me, after all I already had a Purple Viola Clunicula form the above award. I mated it with an Olive Folium Puncti to get what I wanted. I could have used my Royal Folium Anura, but at this point, I decided to go with the Puncti to grantee that I would make a profit form the bred frogs. (Punctis and Cluniculas both have a rarity of 3, while Anuras are only 1)

Why are all of you clumped up? Do you dislike the circles in my Whimsical Habitat so much?

I wanted a better picture than the above, so I tried again. I got a rather nice action shot by accident, so in here, you can see where the purple ends and green starts on the Purple Folium Clunicula.

Hoppity-hoppity-hop!

I had another go and this time I ended up with a rather odd error - apparently, you can own half a frog!
I wonder if it says Rib- instead of Ribbit!

So after some poking and ordering about my jumpy little frogs, I got them into a rather decent composition - I think i'll keep these for a while! =) (Well, at least until I need the habitat for something else!)

Absolutely perfect, darhling! See how wonderfully balanced the composition feels, and how they form a... a Question Mark??

It was fun, but as far as I have looked about, I don't think I will need purple frogs anymore, so these will go. I'm keeping my Purple Viola Bovis and ridding myself of all the others here for the coinage soon. Bye bye froggies!

Until next time, Ribbit!

Where's Waldo - A Personal Set

Hey everybody! So I finally made a new set of my own! I call this one Where's Waldo, and the objective here is to find a very certain frog, henceforth known as Waldo. This frog is a White Carota Partiri, can you find it in this slightly darkened screenshot?
Look, a matching stripy background! It's the Woven Habitat.

Ok, have you found it yet? Admittedly, its not very hard to do among all those Red Albeo Partiri (that I bred from the #32: Fruit Stripe award)- the orangey Carota colour is really far from that of the Red, so it's not a hard job. Just look at this screenshot at the original brightness. You can clearly see it now, can't you?

Hint: Look at the big mean tooth! Rawr!

And to think it took me so long to try and get all of them fully grown and ready for showcasing! =( Oh well, I guess a proper Waldo would be better done. Go ahead and search for some Where's Waldo games to play, you know you want to - they would be much more challenging and fun than mine anyhoo~

Big, Little, and Littler frogs! Ain't they the sweetest things?

But wait! What about Orange Albeos instead of Red ones? Well, Orange is a tad too light to be mistaken as Carota, it wouldn't work out. Tangelo was the next best choice, but the differences are still pretty obvious. Ah, oh well.
Comparison for Tangelo Albeo VS White Carota Partiri. Guest Appearance from our dear Red Albeo Partiri, Ancestor to the two frogs mentioned above.

And if you haven't a clue what Where's Waldo is right up to the end of this post, go Google it! Thanks for reading!

Fruity Tooty Time!

#32: Fruit Stripe - Collect an Emerald, Yellow, Red and Orange Albeo Partiri in one habitat.

Remember the Red, Orange and Yellow Albeo Anura I used to get my #05 - Single Rainbow achievement? I mated those with my Golden Bruna Partiri (that I used in #28: 2 Bee Or Not 2 Bee) to get the Red, Orange, and Yellow Albeo Partiri for the achievement. Next I mated my Emerald Chroma Velatus with one of the Albeo Partiti that I'd just bred to get the Emerald Albeo Partiri needed to finish the achievement. It resulted in a number of Chroma Partiri, but I did it in the end. Yay!

I couldn't decide which screenshot was the best (and secretly wanted to show off my new Rug Habitat) so I posted all three. The first two don't have all the frogs with their eyes open, but the last one had them all crowded together. *Sigh* Which do you like best? =)

Keep hopping, my friends! Ribbit!

My First Few Sets

I've played around and decided to target a few sets that look fun and easy. These sets are:
#05 - Single Rainbow - Collect a mature Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, and Pink Albeo Anura in one habitat.

Adobe Habitat
This one wasn't so bad, considering I had all the necessary colours available already. All I did was mate an Orange Anura with a Albeo one, then mate frogs of the other colours with the Orange Albeo Anura to get the ones I needed. I got the Pink Albeo Anura as a prize (how nice!) for a puzzle game. It wasn't too hard, but I went through tons of Anuras with the wrong colours. Good thing I made a tidy profit on those frogs, and got the #3 - Piggy Bank achievement while doing it! ^.^

#04: I Choose You - Collect 8 mature Yellow Tingo Anura in one habitat.
Tiled Floor Habitat
I made some losses trying to get my Yellow Tingo Anura from an Yellow Albeo Anura (I used the one from the above achivement!) and a Black Tingo Marmorea. The breeding cost for this was higher than the amount that the resulting bred Anuras sold for. Good thing I still made profits off the wrongly coloured Marmoreas to cover the hole this burnt in my pocket! Once I had 2 Yellow Tingo Anuras, I just mated them together to make more clones! XD I loved my pikachu frogs, but because I was feeling high from getting two awards in the space of 2 days, I sold them off quickly and moved on to the next one.

#28: 2 Bee Or Not 2 Bee - Collect 2 mature Golden Picea Partiri frogs in one habitat.
Tiled Floor Habitat
After deciding that getting 8 frogs together was tiring (both in terms of breeding them and getting a screenshot of them, with no frog hiding behind another) I decided to go for something simpler - just two frogs. These Golden Picea Partiri came pretty quick - I breed 2 rounds of 5 frogs per time from a Golden Bruna Partiti and a Maroon Pica Anura to get 2 of my desired frogs in the second round. I made some losses from the sheer amount of Anuras bred - but I'm sure I'll make up for it soon! Boy did these buzz around a lot before I could get a nice picture of them! At least they came from the same batch, so they didn't have any uncle/step-father vs nephew/step-son grudges against each other. (I swear, they don't have their backs turned against each other because of any resentment!)

Did you guys get any sets today? ;)
